But one day, a wolf clothed in sheep's clothing went to their town to ask if he could be part of their flock. The flock of sheep immediately reject the wolf's request dismissing it as ridiculous. Setting up the Basic Game
1. Scatter two blocks on each field and seven blocks on the forest. If there are blocks with black markings, it should be facing down for no one to see it.
2. Scatter 4 small coins and 3 white coins on each field then 2 red coins and 3 blue coins on the forest.
3. Place your player piece anywhere you want on your base line.
4. Place the deck of cards anywhere you want outside the board.
5. Arrange and separate the Shepherd cards according to its price.
Playing the Game
Action points (AP) - Each round, you'll be given 5 action points to move and collect your materials or use some of your action points to move the wolf away from your house.
How to Move
Movements - There are 3 moves that a player can choose from:
- Step - Move one tile and lose 1 AP. You cannot move diagonally.
- Sprint - You can only use this twice in one day. If you use it, you can move 4 tiles but only lose 2 AP. You can choose when you'll use it in all 1st-4th rounds.
- Shoo! - You are able to control the wolf using your AP. You can use your step and sprint on the wolf.
During night time, wherever base line the wolf is on, he'll draw one random card from the wolf deck and do what the card says which can affect the blocks of the player. If the wolf is still on the field or forest by night time, the effect of the card will be inflicted to all players. Read what is written on the wolf card before doing the action so that everyone will know.
If the players have shepherd cards, they can use it to defend themselves from the wolf but keep in mind that each of the shepherd cards have their own functions so choose what to use wisely before the wolf draws a card. (Buy the shepherd cards from the coins you collected).
After night time, day 2 comes. Set proper number of blocks and coins again on the board then you'll just repeat everything again. Continue collecting and building until all 72 blocks have been used and until you have the tallest building of all. Just be careful from the wolf because if you don't have a strong foundation, the wolf can break your houses easily so consider how you build your house.
Other Rules:
- If blocks fall while or after the wolf's attack, you'll lose them.
- You cannot move diagonally.
- You can't collect items that the wolf is standing on.
- You have to be back at your base line after the end of the fourth round or else you'll be inflicted with the wolf's attack as well.
- Buying of shepherd cards is only possible after the fourth round ends and the card to be used should be placed on the space beside your lot before the wolf gets to draw a card.
- You can only rearrange the structure of your blocks from bottom to top if the wolf damages it.
Some Tips on building your house:
- Houses built this way tend to stay together longer , giving you more advantage against other players and the wolf, but, needs more blocks to be tall.
- Houses built this way tend to get destroyed easily but, needs only few blocks to be tall.
